waiting

I discovered a new blog today and what a blessing it has been. I particularly identified with this quote/post:

"Waiting on God isn't about the suspension of meaning and purpose. It's part of the meaning and purpose that God has brought into my life.  Waiting on God isn't to be viewed as an obstruction in the way of the plan.  Waiting is an essential part of the plan. For the child of God, waiting isn't simply about what I'll receive at the end of my wait.  No, waiting is much more purposeful, efficient, and practical than that. Waiting is fundamentally about what I'll become as I wait.  God is using the wait to do in and through me exactly what He's promised. Through the wait He's changing me.  By means of the wait He's altering the fabric of my thoughts and desires.  Through the wait He's causing me to see and experience new things about Him and His kingdom.  And all of this sharpens me, enabling me to be a more useful tool in His redemptive hands."

scoutmob

A coworker introduced me to Scoutmob this week. It's a website/app whose purpose is for locals to be better locals. So, it offers weekly discounts and deals to local restaurants around the city. You simply show the waitress the coupon on your phone. I was more intrigued by their graphics than anything else. I love the color and typeface choices. The app is also very clever. It even has the option of putting mustaches on a picture of yourself to send an informational message to a friend. Lookout friends in Nashville, there is one coming your way soon!

watercolors

How great are these? They made me want to pull out my watercolors and attempt to paint again. Oh how I'd love to hang one of these in my kitchen!

color overload

Purl Soho has just launched their new website. It is absolutely lovely and I couldn't tear my eyes away from the slideshow of pictures on the main page. Here is a glimpse of the creativity of this shop.

camp cirrus

Today I am inspired by Camp Cirrus' lovely textile goods found here. I love the simple patterns and bold colors. If they weren't based in Sweden, I would probably have ordered something by now.
